Infrared saunas, lower blood pressure and imporved cardio health

It's amazing to think that a 30-minute session in an infrared sauna is equivalent to a 2-3 mile jog on your heart, but the American Medical Association confirms it.  Infrared technology was developed by NASA, to provide a passive cardio workout for their astronauts at space labs.

Whether you are unable to participate in regular exercise, or want to supplement your existing regimen, infrared saunas are proven to improve overall cardiovascular health.  This can't be achieved in a traditional or steam sauna, due to the extreme temperatures.  In fact, they have even caused heat strokes.

Because infrared saunas heat the body from within, they are safe even for patients with high blood pressure.  In Japan, a study was conducted with at-risk men that underwent daily infrared sauna sessions over a two-week period.  Doctors observed a 68% increase in blood flow, as well as "significant" drops in blood pressure.

Infrared saunas are a lifesaver for people that are immobile due to injury, age, illness or disability, because it delivers a cardio workout in a stationary position.
